How does the brain use food as energy?

    in Recipes!

The causes of the need to restore mental performance or mood can be short-term (such as lack of sleep) or long-term (such as depression). Nutrients have to be adapted to these needs –and therefore, so does their way of acting-: some have effects that last a short time –such as glucose-, while others have to be administered for long periods –such as vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids. For an active brain, check the following nutrients that you should always have in your diet.

The need for nutrients in the diet to keep your brain active

Diseases such as multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, etc., are often developed as a consequence of genetic inheritance, but scientific studies have shown that other factors such as our diet are those that can also affect the functioning of the brain.

There are many foods that can help your brain, to keep it active and healthy, and thus improve other aspects such as lack of sleep, lack of motivation and even depression.

In addition, for an active brain, you can also consume certain supplements and vitamins that will help your brain stay in optimal condition for as long as possible and not suffer a deterioration that would affect your general health.

For an active brain, these nutrients are necessary

Here are a series of nutrients that allow your brain to work in very good condition during your busy days:

    Zinc

You find it in whole foods, nuts, cereals, mushrooms, and vegetables like beans, spinach, and broccoli.

    Vitamin E

You find it in olive, corn, sunflower and wheat germ oils.

    Selenium

It is found in wheat germ, eggs, whole grains, oysters, mushrooms, fish, and vegetables such as broccoli, carrots, and garlic.

    Match

Found in whole grains, cocoa, dairy products, green leafy vegetables (especially cabbage, celery, parsley, and artichokes), dried legumes (lentils, white beans, and chickpeas), egg yolks, potatoes, fish and nuts (walnuts, almonds, peanuts, etc.).

As mentioned above, it is possible to consume other supplements that help the brain function as best as possible.

For example, ginkgo biloba is an herb whose consumption improves blood flow in the brain and has antioxidant components.

It helps the brain to improve the symptoms of Alzheimer's in its early stages and also helps prevent memory impairment. For this reason, it is highly favorable for older adults to take a daily infusion of ginkgo biloba.

Managing stress can help rejuvenate hair from the drastic loss you were experiencing. Panic and stress are the twin enemies of any woman who has a scalp full of amazing hair. They should try to channel their stress and anxiety with the help of exercises or yoga. Swimming and other aerobic exercises help reduce stress and increase endurance.
