Every woman who likes to take care of her skin has gone through the use of various face masks, seeking to keep her skin as young and cared for as possible. The masks developed by oriental women have been very famous due to the high efficiency they have in making women's skin look beautiful and rejuvenated. And today, Vida Lúcida will present you with an excellent recipe to make a Korean rejuvenating mask, called a sheet mask, designed to keep the skin hydrated to keep it nourished, glowing and as youthful as possible.
What is a sheet mask?
The sheet masks originated from South Korea, known for its dedication to cosmetics and skin care. Today, sheet masks are very popular in Asia and are already changing the beauty industry and gaining popularity.
Sheet masks are masks that contain serum (serum) and that form like a kind of fabric that is formed once applied to the face. They are great because you can use them even when you are cleaning, cooking, reading or watching TV. The good thing is, you don't have to worry about washing your face after applying it and you can use them every day.
Serum, main ingredient of the rejuvenating sheet mask
Cosmetic serums are the main ingredient in this type of mask, since they are highly concentrated and help to repair the skin at a deep level, since they carry a high concentration of active ingredients that the skin absorbs quickly. Today, these serums, which are usually aqueous, can also be found in emulsion or gel form.
The serum provides you with vitamins, so that it fulfills a complete cycle of cell renewal. This feature is especially beneficial when the seasons change, when the skin is vulnerable to the sun, cold or wind.
There are different types of serums to treat different types of skin problems and for any age:
1. Serums that regulate sebum. They treat excess oil in the skin and balance it.
2. Depigmenting serums. They lighten the spots on the skin.
3. Highly hydrating and nourishing serums. For dry or dehydrated skin
4. Firming serums. They have a fast and long-term tightening effect.
5. Anti-aging serums. They treat signs of the passage of time on the skin, such as wrinkles.
How the sheet mask works?
The sheet totally soaked with concentrated serum, contains other beneficial ingredients for the skin. These ingredients are in the aqueous phase and dissolved. The blade prevents rapid evaporation of the water phase and extends the time it takes for the ingredients to penetrate deep into the skin. This results in this rejuvenating mask outperforming the skincare effects of the traditional serum type, even when applied once.
What are the benefits of the rejuvenating serum mask?
They bring quick effects when it comes to improving the skin. The serum is packed with various vitamins and minerals, and it doesn't dry out the skin compared to the paste-like mask. The sheet on the face helps the serum soak into your skin a bit more. Some sheet masks can also brighten and firm your skin. Basically, they are cheap compared to going to a spa, convenient, easy to apply, and they bring a glowing effect on your skin.
The purpose of these rejuvenating masks is to nourish and hydrate, not exfoliate or cleanse your skin. So you can apply it after a cleaning routine. The sheet masks are probably not as effective in exfoliating or cleansing the skin compared to the paste mask.
Korean rejuvenating mask to look 10 years’ younger
There are sheet masks that are sold and that are of good quality, they are so popular these days that they can be bought in pharmacies.
But in the spirit of personalization, which is the true essence of a Korean beauty regimen, why not experiment with making your own rejuvenating mask? It's fun and easier than you think.
