Hey Steve, Thank you for sharing. I didn’t try the SATA fix (though afraid if it would screw anything up tho) but im gonna download those XP drivers and give it a spin. I am looking forward to getting another computer; a much smaller one, the Dell Inspiron 1525. I can’t help but feel its the first computer I’d be happy to buy after the Macbook Pro Air. I was looking at the HP Pavilion dv6, but its only 17”! The Inspiron is 17.3” - so, I want to make sure that it can handle what I want to do with it. That and, obviously, it needs to be one with a keyboard that doesnt wiggle while typing. Then, there’s the price, and the keyboard’s in the middle of the keys where you actually type. Does this computer sound like the one for me? I’m an absolute noob to PCs, but even the worst computer nowadays is powerful enough for most people to learn on. Thanks! – Chris

Hey, Thanks for this info, Unfortuately i use windows 8.1 64bit and i don’t have the sata drivers iso file, i’ll run the system diagnostics and see what comes up. Thanks again for your Help and i wish you the best

I tried to install the actual SP2 OS but it would not unpack the necessary files, so I gave up on that. However I read that uninstalling the OEM and then reinstalling the OEM, followed by the SP2 files, would install the operating system. That worked for me, I’d try to remember which sections I worked on. Thanks I may send you a PM with some information d2c66b5586
