Just got back from playing Starforce Nightmare on PC and I gotta say I was pleasantly surprised. To start off the download, you just download the installer and run it. no expirmental GOG-like installers/changelog and such. It gives you the option of installing (0) u Blockers before the download and (1) u Blockers or (2) both (selections 1 and 2 below). If u blockers is selected before the download, it will add a script called \"starforce-%u-blockers.sh to your download folder (NOTE. The automatic installer does not work well if you have multiple downloads at the same time, because it may trigger \"mod packs\" to be added to the script). If both are selected, it adds starforce-%u-blockers.sh to your download folder, adds the starforceuser to your boot/homegroups, adds the starforce-2.rf to your download folder and executes it. Once that's done, it will install the full files, but it will also install another script called starforce-1.rf that installs the Noir (Kritzkrieg) patch (selections 0 and 1 below). This script requires Python 2.1 at least, although 2.2 works fine. If python is not found, it simply writes an error to your terminal, but will proceed with instalation regardless. Realtime patching needs pycurl, but both are possible to download and install separately if you have python. The actual install itself is as simple as finding the (0) u Blockers line and going through it to the starforce-1.rf. If you have the patch, you can go through the (1) u Blockers line to the starforce-2.rf. If you have the Noir then you'll stay in the (0) u Blockers line and it will install the Noir as well. Takes about 15 seconds to do if you don't have Python. If uBlockers is not selected, then the Noir patch will be loaded on the next run start.
